Are you like me? I have so many things I want to blog about that I just don't know where to begin. And do I want to write a huge post covering everything? Or do I break it up and post a couple of post in one day? And then you know what happens? I just don't post anything to my blog. So I have just finished up one of the biggest swaps ever. On my arttechniques yahoo group I participated in a 4 x 4 fatbook technique swap. Technique swaps are great because you get to see and feel so many different techniques that you may have not done before. And even if you have done it before when someone else has done it they can get a very different look then you did when you did the same technique. When I signed up for this swap I was prepared to do 20 or 30 or even 50 pages in this swap just to get my hands on all those techniques. Well we ended up with over 100 people signing up for the swap. HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!!! Tomorrow is my monthly atc swap at a local stamp store. The theme this month is of course the Fourth of July. When you look at some of my other art I'm sure you can see a big difference in the style of my work. I have been having the worst time lately with the themes of the swaps. The above atc's look to scrap booky to me. That is way out in left field as far as the rest of the art I create. This will only be the third time I am going to the swap and I have entertained the idea of quiting altogether but I enjoy getting together with the rest of the ladies. This is the only time I get to chat face to face with some artsy people.

Today I finished putting together my charm bracelet with the charms I received in the Artysdoll charm swap I participated in a few months ago. A big thank you to Kelly Parker for hosting this great swap. I used seven of my favorite charms from the swap and then added bead dangles and a few of my own charms to finish off the bracelet. The chain I found at my local Joann's. I have plenty of charms left over and can probably make at least 4 more bracelets if that's what I use them for. A big thank you goes out to Kelly Parker for hosting the Artsydoll charm swap on the arttechniques yahoo group ! This was my first charm swap and I can't tell you how much fun it was. The charms I received back are little works of art. I'm not sure what I am going to do with them yet. Since I played twice I have over 40 charms to play around with. I recently decided to jump into some swaps on the yahoo groups I belong to. This is a charm swap hosted by Kelly on the arttechniques group. If you interested in the group or the swap there is a link on the side bar. The base of the charms are made from altered games pieces. The game pieces have been painted and decorated with an inchie I trimmed. I then layered a piece of a vintage music sheet on top of the inchie. On top of that is an image of a vintage girl. To finish the piece off I hung a beaded dangle.
