PID Designer Image Sheet Alert

Image
Remember a few posts back when I told you about the design team image sheets from Paper Imagery Design?? Did you run over to the PID website and buy some? If you did let me know when you use the images in your art work! It is such a compliment when someone uses the images I designed for the sheets that I felt it necessary to let them and the world know I appreciate the compliment by posting their art work to my blog. Here is another fat book page from the PID fat book swap where my image was used. Melissa Huber is the artist and you can see more of her fat book pages from the swap at her Altered Imagination blog. Melissa is also one of the owners of Paper Imagery Designs so this is an extra special compliment to me because she thought my image special enough to use on her fat book pages. Thank you Melissa!!! Thanks for stopping by! Arlene

Altered Altoid Tin

Image
I just realized that I did not share my altered altoid tin on my blog. Sometimes I post my art to the PID blog and never get around to posting it on my own blog.   I made this altered tin for my February  dt challenge. Outside   Inside   I love the way it turned out. I didn't take a picture of the back of the tin but the outside is very textured. I built up layers of gesso and acrylic paint. My MIL's birthday is Feb 12th and since she loves Valentine Day I gave it to her for her birthday.   Technorati Tags: mixed media , altered altoid tin , Altered art

Crusade No. 28 Portion Control

Image
I stopped over at Michelle Wards GPP Street Team blog to see what the current challenge was and was happy to see that the topic of Crusade 28 was Portion Control. ( Go check it out to see what it's all about.) I knew I had to do this one because I have a terrible time covering up anything in my artwork if I like the way it looks. This was a great way to push myself outside my comfort zone into using a new technique. Here are two journal pages I made for the challenge. Stop over at the blog to read about this challenge and all the other great challenges Michelle has posted to the blog. I love the way my pages turned out. Next time I will try to cover up more of my stamped and stenciled images then I did in this challenge. I have to take baby steps. Thanks Michelle for a great challenge! Arlene

More Charms

Image
I've been on a real charm kick lately. There are charm swaps popping up all over the yahoo groups. I'm hosting one on the PID group and I joined Belinda Spiwaks swap on her group. And of course CPS is hosting one also. My charms are done for the PID group swap and I'm not sure if I will use these for Belinda's swap because they may be a tad bigger then the size limit for her swap.     These charms are made of polymer clay and colored with PearlX.   Thanks for looking!
