Mini Book Pages Birds and Butterflies

Wow it is hard to believe that the holidays are over and January has come and gone already. The month has flown by. I wonder if this new year will fly by as fast as the first month.

I am sorry I have been neglecting my blog. It's not that haven't been being arty but I just don't seem to have the time to post much lately.

As soon as the Christmas decorations were packed away I started working on a new project. I decided I was tired of the cold winter temps and couldn't wait for spring so I started making a mini Birds & Butterflies book. I have finished all the pages. 12 in total of various sizes. Some just tiny little tag like pages like the one above. I'm proud of the fact that I actually finished it. 12 pages with both sides arted up means I actually created 24 book pages. I have a bad habit of biting off more then I can chew and not finishing big projects.

Now as I was working on the book I planned to use eyelets and a book ring to bind the book together. But I am having a problem finding black or copper colored eyelets here in the crafts stores. What is up with that? Used to be they would carry tons of different colored and different sized eyelets. Now all I can find is small packages with multi colored eyelets. And we're not talking pretty colors either. Green, yellow and red? Come one people. And yes I could find them online but the shipping would be more then the eyelets.

I guess I will have to wait to bind my little book until I find some eyelets in a color that goes with my pages. I hear a Hobby Lobby is opening up in town. I hope I don't have to wait that long.

Thanks for stopping by!
Arlene
